Cultural day to Sharjah

Join us for a cultural day in Sharjah on Saturday 5 June.
In the morning we visit the exhibition "Faces, Phantoms and Expressions" by Nujoom Alghanem at Maraya Art Centre.
Nujoom Alghanem is an Emirati artist, known for her award winning films and work as a poet, artist and scriptwriter. In 2019, she was the solo artist of the UAE National Pavilion at the Venice Biennale. She showcases here, for the very first time, a body of work within the visual arts that she has been creating since 2016. The artist herself will be our guide.
In the afternoon we visit the House of Wisdom for a short, guided tour. The House of Wisdom, which opened on 9 December 2020, is an iconic Library and Cultural Center, designed by international architecture firm Foster + Partners.
PROGRAMME
10.00 am: meet-up at Maraya Art Centre, Sharjah
10.15 am: guided tour to the exposition Faces,
Phantoms and Expressions
12.00 am: lunch at Shahabeek restaurant
13.30 am: drive to House of Wisdom by own car
14.00 am: guided tour to the House of Wisdom

Guided tours: free for members
Set menu for 120 aed per person at Shababeek restaurant.
Payment at the venue on the day itself
